Sometimes shades give us grief or just flat out do not cooperate with the programming. When this happens, it can sometimes be easier to start from scratch!
If your shade is low voltage, it will either have a button as shown in the video, or a small hole on the motor head that can be pressed by using a paper clip. In order to reset the motor, you will wait for three jogs and then confirm the shade is no longer functioning on the remote control.
If the shade is powered by 110V or plugged into an outlet, there is a rule called 2-10-2 that allows a reset by removing for 2 seconds, plugging in for 10 seconds, removing for 2 seconds, and then plugging back in. This needs to be done without gaps in the process and once completed the shade will jog (jolt up/down). Once you get a jog you will press the back of the remote to complete the reset.
If you have a 110V hard-wired connection, this is a manual process with one of the three wires that is 'hot', however an easier option is to find the breaker that the shade is on and apply the 2-10-2 rule.
